Comments: Stopped at side of expressway for radiator was running hot and Dad wanted to check it--Had to stop at next filling station and fill it up and hose was leaking so had to be replaced (our old 1957 Mercury that was quite a snazzy car with controls which moved driver's seat back and forth automatcally and back window went up and down.)

Comments: At motel we stayed at Friday night. We only had $100 for whole trip so we could only stay one of the nights of the long weekend and drove home Sat. night and Sun.( Dad had to be back at Henry Ford Hospital Mon. morning.) He had finished Gen.Surg Residency and was into Thoracic Sugery residency.
